Build Your Confidence. Stop Being Sheepels
Today people around this country are celebrating the life, tragic death and amazing accomplishments of Martin Luther King, Jr. A man who lead a movement that changed millions of lives. A man who faced adversity, challenges, and death for his work and beliefs. A man of great faith, courage and confidence.
Martin Luther King, Jr. did not make excuses for the way things were but rather embarked on changing them. He did not back down in the face of adversity, he did not turn violent, he did not lose his faith or convictions. We celebrate him today; we admire him and are inspired by him but how many of you really take a stand in your life? How many speak when injustices are committed? How many stand for something with courage, confidence and faith? How many of you have the courage to change your current circumstances?
Martin Luther King, Jr. was not a sheepel – he was definitely a leader. We don’t all need to be leaders at the level of MLK but we certainly need to stop being sheepels.
What is a sheepel?
Sheepels are most people who like sheeps herd together and follow the herd. People who do not stand up for themselves, their convictions or beliefs. People who make excuses for the way things are and feel no responsibility or personal power to change anything. Sheepels, like sheeps, are obedient, afraid to stand out/stand apart, and very easy to control.
If you are a sheepel, you don’t have to stay one. You can choose to change. You can choose to empower yourself by building your self-confidence. You can choose to discover who you are and what you are capable of – you can choose to stop making excuses and face your inner strengths. You can choose to take accountability for what’s happening to you, choose to change your thinking process and face your fears.
You can choose to sign-up for The Loop of Confidence and work with the Confidence Builder to lead you to “new pastures” sorta to speak and be freed from the herd.
You don’t have to simply exist in the herd and admire those living freely outside of it – you too can be freed and empowered – starting building your self-confidence NOW!
