I can’t believe it’s almost been eight months since I’ve blogged on The Loop of Confidence. Where have I been, you ask? I’ve been to Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Belize, and crossing my homeland of Canada by car camping, hiking, and biking along the way. It’s been an awesome journey filled with incredible adventures. I’m currently still on the road, in Oregon.
Being a nomad on the road feels right and more like where I belong than anything else I’ve ever tried or looked into to find a sense of belonging. I found contentment and peace in the openness of the road and the great outdoors. I’ve created routine out of uncertainty and instability. I found home and comfort through being surrounded by strangers. I spend every moment reliant on the Lord and filled with gratitude for Him leading me to this point in my life.
I eagerly stepped into the unknown of the road, without fear, hesitation or worries, knowing it was what was best for me, although I didn’t know where it would lead. I had confidence and faith.
Following His guidance, listening to His prompting, and obeying His will has allowed me further know who I am, and find the environment in which I can completely be myself. I never would have made it here on my own.
I knew a lot about myself before dropping to my knees and handing my life to Christ. But I was clueless of how to create lasting change in my life or what direction to even go. I knew what angered, frustrated, and hurt me, but I didn’t know how make it stop or how to heal myself. I ached to travel and spend time playing outdoor, but could never make it happen. God has not only showed me His Sovereignty, but He has transformed me into who I am in Him.
Self-discovery is important to your confidence and faith development and no one knows you better than the Father who created you. God who knew you before you were even conceived. The Lord who has already accounted for everything that you are, have, will ever do, and be.
I woke-up on my 39th Birthday with the knowledge it was time to return to the Loop of Confidence. Christ is ready to work in and through you, the same way He is in me. I’m ready to help you to develop the confidence and faith it takes to fully welcome Him to your life!
